Fiasco Shirts

How to get your 2025 Three Bridge Fiasco “Did you finish? 50 SPF long-sleeved Sport Tek race shirt:

This year the fiascos included the lack of wind, the starting rule and the SSS not getting its swag act together sooner.

To make up for the elements we control, the SSS Board is doing the below:

1. Subsidizing shirt costs; they ll be $15 at most for racers, with many  free  categories (keep reading).

2. Issuing free shirts to Finishers (~10% of 325 vessels!) that say  I finished  (yes, DH-ers; you each get one).

3. Enabling registrants to order shirts for non-participants ($40 each, and no, they can t have  Finisher  shirts; c mon).

4. Issuing shirts free to anyone who commits to pick them up at the Corinthian or Round the Rocks competitors’ meetings. All other orders will be charged $5 for mailing.

Just fill out the order form on Jibeset – just login and complete the form
http://www.jibeset.net/register.php?CLUBID=JACKY&RATID=T036632865&CLUBPASS=c41d0d/.

We ll be using the honor system.

All orders must be submitted by midnight Pacific time Sunday, February 1st.
We look forward to seeing you, and your shirts.

Biggest Race on the SF Bay Draws Near!

Hello, and happy new year, SSS Racers!

I’m changing the competitors’ meeting slightly from what I’d posted on Jibeset earlier: I bought twenty (20) insulated stainless steel water bottles, with artwork showing the predicted January 25 currents at a dozen locations around the bay, to award among the skippers who come to the meeting. I’ll do a series of random drawings, with about half reserved for doublehanded skippers, half reserved for singlehanded skippers, and a few that could go to skippers in either category. EG, a drawing for one among the doublehanded skipper(s) wearing the oldest Fiasco Shirt, and a drawing for one among the singlehanded skippers wearing the oldest shirt. With twenty to hand out, you have pretty good odds of getting one if you show up. Please come to Oakland YC on Wednesday, January 22 at 1900.

Of course, you have to register for Fiasco first. If you have not done that, please do so now — it’s the biggest crazy-fun race on the West Coast. https://jibeset.net/JACKY000.php?RG=T006291399 . By completing your registration now, you will avoid a late fee that is coming up fast. And you will make our lives slightly easier.

If you will not race, but still want to be a part of it, I could use a few more volunteers. Volunteers who commit to half day or all-day by filling out the form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemGmMXdTjnElN5BT_pCjl3Bjdk-ataDrR6tFw9pVHIvBg2Ug/viewform?usp=header by end-of-day Tuesday, January 7 (tomorrow!) will get a shirt. Half-day volunteers will get a short sleeve shirt; all-day volunteers will get a long sleeve shirt reflecting their longer service.

Thank you for racing with the SSS!
