First significant failure

6.25.18 morning

first significant failure aboard Jacqueline. boom can’t bale has broken once again. very foolish of me. I could have had Svendsons make me a new one, instead I had a welder repair the broken bale. bad decision. I have materials aboard to replace bale with strap but will await break in weather. am not keen on a stand up repair on the sidedeck in 25 to 30 kts and heavy seaway.

  1. Bummer Mike! At least of all rigging failures a boom vang is one of the easiest to repair. Good Luck.
